Hyde Park: Diana Memorial Fountain

Dear Family,

This memorial was exciting because people really interacted with it.

It’s a low circular fountain which flows down both sides across a variety of surfaces. It rumbles, it flows fast, and it sits still at the bottom. The idea was to reflect the moods of Diana’s crazy life. The best part is how people will sit and enjoy it … and interact with it, with their feet.

Fast flowing roars up against peoples’ feet.
Water rumbles down the rough surface to the left to sit quiet here.

Yep, lots of feet make their way into this water and apparently it’s cold.

Given how my feet felt, I too probably should have partaken.

In hind sight, I can’t imagine why I didn’t. :-\

Love, Dad
