And Beyond

Up to my first visit I’d been driving the old fashioned way in England using maps and directions.

I had forgotten how spoiled I’d become using car navigation systems, something I found myself without in this new land of the U.K. To help get to Twila and Tracy’s house I was provided with wonderful directions, three type-written pages of details. The only problem was they assumed I’d approach from the south, a reasonable assumption since that morning I had left Manchester. However, I like to drive and I ended up coming from the north. As much as I had hoped to arrive on time, I arrived late.

This challenge of navigation was about to come to an end. Tracy and Twila offered to loan me the use of their TomTom navigation system and what a blessing. The quality of my drive time shot skyward and my time behind the wheel became much more enjoyable and productive. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Twila and Tracy!
